Both engineer and storyteller; poet and quant; powerful listener and speaker – Matt is a dynamic personality and positive force who brings both head and heart to everything he does.

American born and bred, Matt cut his teeth as a management consultant at IBM before pivoting his career to explore creative pursuits – writing, acting, speaking, and designing transformative educational programmes. In 2014, he hopped the pond to launch Escape The City's “Escape School” to help thousands of people in London start businesses, change careers, and find fulfilling work.

When he's not facilitating workshops, you might find him acting in a feature film, speaking on the TEDx stage, stitching leather goods, or wild camping in a foreign place.
