3. Motivating and empowering team members through delegation
- Defining the scope, objectives, and duration of the delegation task.
- Agreeing on operational rules during delegation.
- Recognising the team member: valuing their skills, providing meaning.
- Utilising support and trust to overcome delegation’s barriers.
- Adapting the level of delegation to the professional maturity of the team member.
4. Acquiring the tools and mindset of a coaching manager to turn delegation into a learning lever
- Consider delegation as an opportunity to develop your team members’ skills.
- Define evaluation criteria and methods to recognise successes and correct failures during the process: the delegation wheel.
